Owner/Designer

Rick started Tillis Jewelry in 2010 alongside his wonderful wife, Terry. He started his jewelry career doing repairs and benchwork in 1985, but his passion today lies in custom design. Rick handles most of our gold and diamond buying/selling working behind the scenes. He has taken our shop from a very small business to a destination jewelry store that will take your breath away. Rick is our bread and butter; without him, we wouldn't be here today!

Terry Tillis

Owner/Gemologist

Terry has an affinity for all Diamonds and Gemstones, which led her to pursuing her Graduate Gemologist certification from GIA which she earned in 2018. She is an expert on everything jewelry, from vintage jewelry eras to modern custom designs. Terry does it all from making beautiful custom jewelry with the most unique gemstones to completing complex insurance appraisals for all of our wonderful customers. Rick and Terry both can be seen around the shop most days but do find themselves enjoying more days at home as time passes!

Eric Trammell

Custom Designer/Jewelry Professional

Eric has been with Tillis Jewelry for over 8 years now going from jeweler's benchwork to amazing custom designer. Over time, he found his greater passion was custom jewelry design. Not only can he help diagnose some of the most complicated repairs, but he can also help you create the family heirlooms of your dreams. Eric has taken multiple courses through GIA and has earned his Applied Jewelry Professional credentials. Eric also does behind-the-scenes work managing our text message system and our point-of-sale complications. He started an amazing rewards program only to make our customer experience even better! He is our jack-of-all-trades!

Jenny Livengood

Custom Designer/Jewelry Professional

Jenny has blossomed through her years at Tillis Jewelry becoming a key component of our team. She has around 8 years' experience in the jewelry industry. She has a deep love for custom design - bringing one-of-a-kind pieces to life with her artistic talents. She will work closely with you, walking you through each step of the custom-design process. Her attention to detail and creative intuition make her a trusted name in the custom jewelry industry. Jenny can be found in the showroom helping customers nearly every day! She has taken multiple courses through GIA, earning her Applied Jewelry Professional credentials. She also works behind-the-scenes to optimize our inventory, repair, and quality control processes!

Jenna Thornhill

Custom Designer/Jewelry Professional

Since 2022, Jenna has become a quintessential piece of the Tillis Jewelry team through her desire to create, learn, and optimize the potential of our family-owned jewelry store. She has a passion for customer-service, making each customer feel right at home in our shop. Jenna will ease you through every step of the process, whether you are creating new family heirlooms or simply leaving a broken chain for repair. Not only has she mastered custom design and diagnosing repairs, but she is also on her way to becoming a Graduate Gemologist through GIA. She can be seen most days on the floor helping customers, but behind-the scenes, she is helping Terry with appraisals, upgrading our inventory systems, and creating/updating this very website you are on now!

Susanna Marler

Repair Specialist and Sales Professional

Susanna has recently stepped into the jewelry world with an interest in pursuing goldsmithing! She came to us in the fall of 2024 with an aspiration to start her jewelry career. We are easing her into it by teaching her all about jewelry and jewelry repair basics. She just so happens to love selling jewelry and helping customers find the perfect gifts or pieces for themselves! Chances are, you will be greeted by her warm welcome if you come into the shop! While she is still learning the ropes, she is becoming a key player in the Tillis Jewelry team. We can't wait to see where she takes her stand in the jewelry world!

Bill and Tony Eddins

While you may not meet Bill or Tony while you are here, you will surely see their amazing craftsmanship! Whether it be one of our many house-made custom jewelry pieces or the repair that you get with us, it is hard to deny their talents. Both with over 35 years in the industry, the pair learned their trade from their father. Brothers in life and brothers in work, they are sure to wow anyone that walks through our doors.  Without them, we wouldn't be half the shop we are today. They are a huge piece of the puzzle that is Tillis Jewelry!
